If you’ve been running Floreant POS for a while, get ready — version 2.0.1 Beta is the biggest visual and feature leap we’ve shipped in years. We rebuilt the order screen from the ground up, added a brand-new Cash & Card Management command center, and modernized the engine under the hood. And it’s free to try right now.

A New Order Screen That Feels Effortless

The first thing you’ll notice? The menu looks gorgeous. We took inspiration from the cleanest POS interfaces in the world and gave every menu item a card-style tile — bold colors, soft shadows, your food photos with rounded corners, and a crisp white label showing the name and price.

Items now snap into a tidy square grid that flexes from 5 to 9 columns as you resize the window. No clutter, no mismatched borders — just a clean, tap-friendly layout your staff will love during a rush.

We also fixed the little things that matter:

• The Total button now lives right where your thumb expects it, glows orange the moment you add an item, and updates live with every tap.
• Pay Total now goes straight to the payment screen (no more detours).
• Sales reports show clean, 2-decimal money values — no more “16.7599…” surprises.

This is the headline feature. One click on the new cash-register icon opens a five-tab dashboard that finally puts your whole financial picture in one place:

• Dashboard: Today’s revenue, cash in drawer, ticket count, and tips — plus live charts for daily trends, hourly sales, and a card-vs-cash breakdown.
• Shifts & Cash Registers: Every drawer session at a glance, with editable counted-cash amounts and full session detail.
• Drawer Status: Open, close, bleed, and pay out — with a built-in guard that stops you from withdrawing more than the drawer holds.
• Card Transactions: Authorize, settle, void, refund, and batch-close, all in one tab.
• Tips Payment: Pull a server’s tips report and pay them out in two clicks.

Faster, Safer Payments

We rebuilt the card entry experience into a single clean dialog with Keyed, Swipe, and Auth Code tabs and automatic card-network detection. Testing in sandbox? There’s even a “Try Dummy Test Card” button. Authorize.Net is updated and tested across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.

A Cleaner Back Office

The back office got a readability pass too — bolder navigation, smarter master-detail editing for Order Types, Currencies, and User Types, and a roomier configuration dialog that’s far easier to navigate. We trimmed the Other Functions screen down to the essentials, since cash and card tasks now live in their shiny new home.

Modernized Under the Hood 🔧

Not everything is visible, but it matters:

• Security: We removed the legacy Log4j 1.x library entirely, replacing it with a modern logging stack — so those security-scanner false alarms are gone for good.
• Training Mode: Cleaner, more reliable, and clearly labeled so you never confuse practice with real sales.
• Theming: Choose Classic or Accent button styles, 12 preset colors, and even per-item accent colors. Crisp Material icons throughout.
